Nolan is officially 10 months-old, and I have to say, this latest stage has been my favorite so far! I haven't blogged since his 8 month birthday, and so much has changed in these last 8 weeks...
Nolan decided to crawl at 8 1/2 Months! He was scooting around and "assuming the position," but finally decided to take off one night when we got home from Hilary's. It's so funny how proud a Mom and Dad can feel just watching their baby reach a milestone.
Ecstatic yet tearful, moments like these always launch my mind into the unexpected future years of Nolan's life.
His first day going to school, his first time playing a basketball game, his first trip to an emergency room, graduations, and some day marriage..... It's an overwhelming experience of emotions as I know this little guy has so much in store. I try and hang on to these moments as long as I can. He's just such a blessing!
With crawling, came even more of a development in personality. Nolan is into everything, and laughs at everything. He's hearing the words "No No Nolan," on an hourly basis, and loves to test our attempts at disciplining him with an ornery smile and eyes, and a goofy laugh.
So many say Nolan looks just like his daddy, but I have been getting comments that when he smiles and acts goofy a little bit of his momma shines through. Shane claims that Nolan get's the following from me:
1.) His love for looking at himself and kissing himself in the mirror
2.) His ability to laugh at himself and think that he's really funny
I say Nolan get's the following from his Dad:
1.) His bull headedness
2.) His love for t.v.'s , phones, video games, and remotes :)
At his 9 Month Appointment Nolan weighed in at 19 lbs, and was 29.4 inches long.
He was in the 28 % ile for weight and 50 % for height
On our scale yesterday he was the big 20 lbs.
Nolan is currently eating 2 baby foods at each meal, and takes a bottle in between for naps and bed time. He is wearing 12 and 18 month clothes and is officially sporting the two piece big boy pajamas which he couldn't look more dashing in.
His Favorites Include:
Throwing Balls of any type and chasing after them
Going on walks in his Stroller on Nice Days
Singing I'm going to let it shine and laughing hysterically at
"Don't you try to POOF it out!"
Doing hand motions to "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Patty Cake"
His #1 Books Right Now- I love you Through and Through (There are certain pages where he has to give the little boy a kiss) and Good Night Moon still....
His # 1 Toys Right Now - Anything he shouldn't have! He loves finding cords to electronics and turning his monitor off and on. He loves to stand at a window and look outside. He also loves my Swiffer Vacuum and is OBSESSED with my hair dryer... Obsessed might even be an understatement. As soon as we get home, he has to crawl into my room to find it. Most mornings he sits right on my lap as I get ready and do my hair and makeup.
Nolan has 6 Teeth Already Through, and Two More on the Way! His front teeth are huge, just like his mommas, but his smile could make anyone's heart melt!
I can't believe we are less than two months away from Nolan's first birthday! These days are bittersweet!
